Penn State is pleased to offer GIS-related software and data for educational and research uses within the University system. Below is information on the site licenses currently being offered at Penn State. ENVI/IDL
ENVI - software for the visualization, analysis, and presentation of all types of digital imagery includes advanced spectral tools, geometric correction, terrain analysis, radar analysis, raster and vector GIS capabilities, extensive support for images from a variety of sources.
IDL - software for data analysis, visualization, and cross-platform application development.
